christie and brandon in mexico!

so these pictures are long overdue - it seems september and october have just flown by as we have been in the craziness of wedding season....and it's been fun!  

back in july, i had the great opportunity to travel to riveria maya, mexico to be with christie and brandon for their beautiful beachfront wedding.  could life really get any better?  not only did i get to do what i love, but also reconnect with an old friend.  you see, christie and i graduated high school together ~ and had not chatted since then.  you gotta love the internet and how you can find old friends!  we had so much fun ~ and even braved tropical storm dolly together!  thankfully ole' dolly decided to make her presence a few days after the wedding.  the funniest part was we had no clue why the weather had all of a sudden taken this turn for the worst...thanks again to the web, we found dolly had quickly formed, and was making her way right across us!  it was not bad enough to leave, but bad enough you hoped it did not get any worse!

christie and brandon ~ ian and i had lots of fun, and we must get together for a miami vice soon!  take care and we wish you the best!

kristin + paul

nothing is more flattering than to have a former wedding planner and a florists' son to ask you to help plan their wedding.  thanks to kristin and paul, jennifer got the pleasure of working with them for a few short months.  they had quite the swanky soiree at zealandia on beaucatcher mountain, and the decor was just breathtaking thanks to the flower gallery.  jill with realities photography did a fabulous job at capturing the night and all the emotion and the fun.  best wishes kristin and paul!

ashley + howard

on august 2, ashley and howard got married in downtown asheville, and had there reception at the brand new doubletree ballroom, which was fabulous!  if you are looking for a great space to hold a large crowd, give yolanda adams a call! thanks to tiffany's baking  co. for the yummy cake and to sarah whitmeyer for the pics...and as usual, thanks to blossoms for the beautiful blooms :)

brides book award!

our thanks to the bride's book and their readers for giving verge events the 2008 reader's choice award for the second year in a row! we consider ourselves so lucky to be able to do what we love everyday.  thank you for allowing us so to continue to be a part of your wedding day.  

erika + rick

back on a monday in june, we had so much fun with erika and rick.  erika was fabulous from the beginning, and i loved helping her design her wedding!  she loved lavendar, anything vintage, and j and s cafeteria pies ~ which were the "cake".  i loved their individuality, and their love for each other.  she vowed to watch dr. who, and he vowed to rub her feet every night. they were married at beautiful homewood, and we loved meeting the girls from whitebox weddings ~ check out the fabulous pics!  i hope you are lovin' boston and miss maya is doing well, take care!
